This summer sees the launch of the latest addition to the Ornate collection, the Tie-Dye Pearl Necklaces. In keeping with the core focus of the Ornate collections, which is to create pieces that have a decorative playful style, complementing the All Day collection's relaxed framework.
In collaboration with bespoke print designer Fran Buss, the new Ornate necklaces are created using 100% natural silk which is hand-dyed by Fran in her South London studio.
The Tie-Dye Pearl Necklaces come in three different colour ways and the option of either sterling silver or 18kt gold vermeil fixtures, with a freshwater cultured pearl pendant. The three colourways, Daydream, Hazy and Splash are each reminiscent of summer days and nights.
Daydream - a mix of pink, orange and peachy hues which evoke memories of those summer days and golden hour skies.
Hazy - a mix of bold green and blue, Hazy is reminiscent of those blue skies and green fields, when on a summer's day walk all you can see for miles is blue and green.
Splash - a mix of light and dark shades of blue bringing to mind long summer days spent by the sea.
This Ornate collection is all about being optimistic and expression, the necklaces are accent pieces designed to stand out. Experimenting with different non-traditional jewellery materials is integral to the development of the Ornate jewellery collection, and it was great to work with and introduce a new material into Skomer's offering.
